Artist Statement

​

My underlying motivation as an artist is my desire to draw and paint what I see, be it landscapes, still life and more, either in detailed charcoal, linocut, or abstract vibrantly coloured drawings and paintings. I like painting most of all, as the process has always calmed me and let me make art. My new dash mark technique allows me to make vibrant abstract paintings, giving me my own style of making contemporary art of what I see, inspiring me to continue my own passion for art making today. This is what I aspire to do in my future practice.

But unfortunately, I do also have a speech impediment that makes it difficult to start conversations and answer questions.
